there is no adjustment on these tps's it's a drive by wire system. If you don't know the vehicle, dont post!
there's 2 sensors contained in the pedal sensor, and one on the throttle plate shaft, more often than not, it's the pedal sensor, and if you replaced that, it's the other one or a loose connection. did you reset the computer after replacing the pedal?

TPS is located on the side of the thottle body, and is secured by three torx screws.
Removing the air hat on top allows better access.

AZ has the part for ~$40 or so. TPS 333 if I recall correctly.

Hi,
if you feel confident in using a digital auto test meter. Disconnect the sensor, and check the value range with the test meter to ensure it is within the set parameters.

However, before embarking on that task. Some ECU's will display a fault code, but will require re-setting to clear the code. With a new sensor fitted the ECU should re-set, although some "hold" the code in memory, it does not come up as a visible fault. Some vehicles can be driven a few miles, then the ECU will learn that the new sensor is within specs and will react accordingly.

the translation isnt very good but i think from the codes you need a new throttle position pedal sensor ,its the one on teh throttle pedal under the dash ,the other codes have no meaning to me as they are B codes and these would only show on a dealer diagnostic machine so iam surprissed you have managed to extract these codes ,so i assume you have visited a chinese web site to buy some of their lovely pirate software ,iam saving up for mine with the earnings from this web site

My pontiac g6 sometimes the brake lights are on while driving and off when i brake. what could be the problem. when i take it to the garage, they tell me it is working fine.


What garage ? GM dealer ? What year is the vehicle ? The brake pedal position sensor is a input to the BCM - body control module.
The BCM turns on the brake lights . If the brake lights are coming on without your foot pushing the pedal , could have a DTC- diagnostic trouble code stored . Which Brake light ? all or just the top center high mount ? There is a stop lamp relay which powers just the top center high mount brake lights .

DTC C0278 - This DTC will set if the brake position sensor is out of calibration.
C0870 Device Voltage Reference Output Circuit

A short battery positive voltage in the BPP sensor voltage reference circuit is present.
Without testing an viewing BCM scan data i would be only guessing as to what the problem is . Try another repair shop .

P0121 HYUNDAI - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'A' Circuit Range/Performance

Possible causes - Faulty throttle position sensor - Throttle position sensor harness is open or shorted - Throttle position sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) What does this mean? When is the code detected? Malfunction is detected when an excessively low or high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) P0121 Hyundai Description The throttle position sensor (TPS) responds to the accelerator pedal movement. This sensor is a kind of potentiometer which transforms the throttle position into output voltage, and emits the voltage signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM). In addition, the sensor detects the opening and closing speed of the throttle valve and feeds the voltage signal to the ECM. Idle position of the throttle valve is determined by the ECM receiving the signal from the throttle position sensor. This sensor controls engine operation such as fuel cut. On the other hand, the Wide open and closed throttle position switch, which is built into the throttle position sensor unit, is not used for engine control.

Po 122 problem light on had changed sensor problem not fixed trans not shifting right horrible jurks when it shifts.


P0122 is TPS signal low, which could mean you have a bad TPS, or a fault in the wiring or connector. I suspect a bad Throttle Position Sensor.

My '93 suzuki sidekick automatic transmission 4 wheel drive after warm up "overdrive off" starts flashing on and off and when on the drivetrain stops working


The O/D light's flashing means there is some kind of transmission trouble.

The codes are..

If a trouble code is present, OD OFF light will flash a trouble code. The number of flashes will equal first digit of trouble code. After a one second pause, second digit will be displayed. If more than one trouble code is present, next trouble code will be displayed after a 3 second pause. Smallest number trouble code will be displayed first. Trouble codes will be repeated.

the p2127 code is an Accelerator position sensor (low input) as is the p(2138) could be moisture or debris in harness plugs. Try using dielectric grease.

Car keeps dying


Trouble Code 33 and 34 are the MAF/MAP Sensor Circuit. It sounds like you've replaced that sensor already. Did you also have the code 34 before putting in the new sensor?
Or did this code start after it's replacement? Any other codes appearing?

Troubleshooting it would depend if it has the Speed Density Update. The dealer should be able to provide that info.
