??? What is your entire issue?

If brakes are locking up with a new caliper, check the brake hoses for a clog. Just remove the hose from the caliper side. It should drain on its own with just gravity consistently. If not its clogged or broken inside and this will trap pressure on your brakes after first use.

Sometimes I have seen wrong rotors and or warped rotors or poorly made rotors to cause brakes to lock up when wheels are tightened. Also check for caliper bolts and bracket bolts for being too long and touching brake parts.

SOURCE: 1998 maxima front caliper one caliper move

new doesnt mean cant be defective --also air can still be in line or caliper you can try bleeding again -most replacement brake caliper are reconditioned so you can have a defect in it but bled the brakes again and observe the brakes after if still sluggish or piston not moving than replace caliper

Braks wont relise after stoping must set for hours to relise

ABS ????????
crack the line to that brake, caliper
that means the fitting, not to break it.
loosen the fitting to that line, and find who is blocked.
my guess is you put in the MC and did not set the back side pedal
rod gap. per the FSm. spec?
did you use the FSM as a guide? or guess.?
1: new MC
2: new rear cyl./
3: old calipers.
so did the old calipers work before and how long was before. 1 day, 1 year?
if you loosen the rear hose fitting to the caliper that jams
and it release, the lock the the problem is up stream.
if not dont release the caliper is bad.
easy huh, just a turn of the wrench.
even bad calliper sliders can jam a rotor and that is the first thing
i check on calipers after leaks.
they must slide and float, if not they are dangerous.

if ABS , nows to time to say,
if ABS did you first read the FSM pages on how to bleed ABS on this suzuki, some cars need a special scan tool to get the ABS modulor
working right, (specials steps)
good luck there.

ive never seen a wagon R, we dont have them here.
so do post whats there.

Brake pedal loosing pressure

Honda had two brake reservoirs one on the normal brake master cylinder the other on the ABS module. If abs fuse has no power the module has no power. that power comes from the main fuses in underhood fuse box. the abs system is supplement system to normal braking system loss of brake pedal is a air problem or drum brake adjustment problem or a loose wheel bearing pushing the caliper piston back into caliper requiring more fluid to get brake to work causing a low pedal.

The ABS break trouble light will come for aprox 8 starts then all will be fine for aprox 20 starts then repeat

Check for loose wires to the ABS module and have the module checked. This could be a bad Caliper but it sounds like it is the ABS module malfunctioning.

Scrubbing sound from rear when driving, rotor hard to turn manually after removal of tire. Truck hard to take of when attempting to accelerate.

You have a caliper sticking or a problem with your rear brakes. This could be the caliper, a bent Brake line, a bad Master Cylinder or a bad ABS Module.

Disk brakes are automatically self adjusting. If you have too much travel in the pedal, bleed the brakes. Let us know if you need the procedure.

Popping on left front when applying brakes (ABS).

Is your ABS light on? If so, you have a bad wheel speed sensor at the LF wheel. Or, you may have rust buildup on the teeth that the speed sensor measures. Pull off the axle, and check the toothed gear that resided in the spindle.

If not, you may havea sticking caliper piston, or inadequate lubrication on the caliper slides.

ABS bleeding technique on GMC Yukon

If you forced the pads back into the calipers without loosening the bleeders you probably forced gunk into the abs modulator valves. Sometimes doing the automated bleed proceedure (need Tech or Bi Directional Scanner) will bring things back to life.

XK8 abs module

We have the same problem with our BMW. Dealer quoted close to $1500, with a one year parts warranty. Go to Module Masters at www.modulemasters.com.

They show detailed info on how to remove your unit, and will rebuild one for a 2001 XK8 for $150. The unit for our BMW is $300.

I have heard great comments about Module Masters. Well worth a shot!
