Car not starting turn key nothing happens has power

There should be a starter relay under the hood in the fuse box, get someone to bump the key and listen for it to close the circuit. the description should say PCM/ECM/STARTER something along those lines. If it doesn't click you may want to swap it for another in the fuse panel and retry. Be sure to check the fuse for the start circuit. The starter circuit is control by a module so there is no direct wire from the ignition switch straight to the starter. If you hear it click then you may want to use a test light and check for voltage at the starter (small wire on solenoid) while someone else bumps the key.

1997 dodge caravan all gages lights up, radio works but won't start

Does the van have an anti-theft system ?
If so you may need to reset it.
If not, a mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch.

2. Locate and remove the ALC relay from the Underhood Electrical Center (UHEC) .

2. Identify pins 86 and 85 of the UHEC. Install a testlight across these 2 pins. Turn the key on, engine off. Using the scantool command the ALC on. Check the testlight for illumination. It should light.

3. Turn the key off. Using a suitable jumper identify and short together pins 30 and 87. With the headlight switch in the off position, the headlights should light and switch from high to low beam when toggled by the dimmer switch.

4. If the lights work, replace the ALC relay.

How to adjust idle on 1998 chevy malibu

This is pretty simple, pop your hood open and look on the left side
with the car is running turn the screw counter clock wise till your rpms reach the 1 mark you will find the screw located in the same metal bar as the foot pedal cable...still cant find it ? pop the hood open and tap the gas pedal till you see the pedal move the cable line to carburetor under your hood it is right above the alternator.

Sometimes the screw gets messed up and you will have to replace the whole screw and crew housing this happens when it sticks there is also a pin that is under the circle wheel part of the idler.

Where is the hood pin switch (hood light switch) for a 1999 Ford Expedition?

It's not really a pin type switch. It is turned on by how the leval of the hood is. As the hood opens there is like an internal switch in the light itself that moves as the hood is raised and turns the light on or off. I hope I was able to explain it to where you understood. I hope this helped and good luck.

How do i change a headlight in a 2002 sunfire

    1. Step 1 Lift the hood and locate the air intake splash shield. This is the plastic cover running along the front rail of the vehicle and covering the headlights access. You will notice some plastic pins holding down the splash shield. Simply lift the head of each pin up about a quarter of an inch and pull it out of the pre-drilled holes. Remove the splash shield when you've extracted all the pins.
    2. Step 2 Locate the two retaining bolt at the top of each headlamp (on the left and right side top) on the front frame rail. Remove them with a ratchet and socket.
    3. Step 3 Slide the headlight assembly out being careful not to scratch the bumper.
    4. Step 4 Unplug the wire from the back of the headlight. You may convince it with the screwdriver to release the tabs from the lock clip on the headlight, but be careful because it's plastic.
    5. Step 5 Turn the bulb retaining ring to the left and remove it. The old bulb will fall out now.
    6. Step 6 Insert the new bulb being careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Halogen headlights can be compromised or damaged by oils and alkaline in our skin. Place the retaining ring over the headlight and turn to the right and plug the wire back into the bulb. It would be a good idea to turn on the power and check the headlight now to make sure it's working properly before putting everything back together.
    7. Step 7 Replace the headlight assembly retaining bolts.
    8. Step 8 Replace the splash shield and insert the pins. Pushing down on them in the pre-drilled holes is all you'll have to do to lock them.
    9. Step 9 Remove any tools you might have left under the hood and close it.

All gauges..gas,speedometer,temp,odometor...won't work.

the problem might be in the ignition switch(not where the key goes) but what the key switch is connected to. just try this first, when the gagues stop working, hit the steering column behind the key switch and if the gagues start working then replace the ignition switch

Alarm went off while sitting in car, won't reset with fob. Also it now won't start now. After the alarm stops, it stars up again after awhile. Had to unhook the battery. This started after the air pump...

There is an alarm arm/disarm switch in the key cylinder for the trunk and both doors. Just put the key in and turn it to UNLOCK and the alarm should disarm. As far as the reason for it going off...Check the pin switch for the hood. This switch is located along the right front fender (hood open) and is on a very thin metal bracket that is easy to bend when working under the car. Usually the bracket gets bent just far enough that it still allows the alarm to arm, but as it gets cold in the night, the bracket deforms a SLIGHT bit more and tells the alarm that the hood has been opened. Just grasp the switch and bracket and slowly bend it up to level again and the alarm should be OK. You may have to disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 15 minutes or more and then hook it back up and reprogram the key fobs.
