Question about 2001 Chevrolet Cobalt
I have aa 2006 Chevy Cobalt and my power steering is now completely out. It first started off as a short and once you restart the car it fixed itself. Well now you can no longer do that. Once you turn the car on, the powering steering is out. The dealership says I have to replace to whole steering column which would cost me almost $800. I still can't believe GM has never recalled this problem since I am not the only one with this problem. Is there anythng else I can do without having to fork out a lot of money that I don't have?
Ask them is there an technical service bulletin -or TSB on this, also here is some good reading on this, please post me on out come http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/maintenance/articles/44745/article.html
