Question about 2004 Dodge Ram 1500
The truck is a 2002 dodge ram 1500 - when driving the tackodometer(sp?) was higher than supposed to be while in gear 1, 2, 3, etc. Pulled over - truck would not move when put in gear - made sure it was not in off road, etc. No engine lights were on. Had towed to gulf mechanics garage - triple A guy smelled tranny fluid and anti freeze - no appearance of leaks on ground - someone said could be a linkage problem as it is an inexperienced standard driver - should we have mechanic garage fix or bring to dodge dealer to fix?
I'd get it to the dealership unless someone at mechanic shop assured me with a guarantee they knew what it was and how to fix it and impressed me quickly...good luck dc.
