Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country
I posted yesterday that I heard the fan on in my 2005 T&C when I went out to the garage in the AM. I pulled the fuse, it went off, and has been ruiing ok since then. The warning light remains on though.
I am wondering is the radiator fan is the same as the cooling fan? I want to know so that I don't sound like an idiot if I take the van in for service.
The cooling fan is used to cool the radiator.
There is a sensor that turns the fan 'on' if the radiator gets too hot. A light comes 'on' to tell you the fan is 'on'.
If the fan ran all night the sensor is bad and the (sorry for the pun) the idiot light is on to tell everyone something is wrong and it needs service.
DON"T run your car with out the fan!
