That's a tough question to answer, because there are quite a few factors involving the longevity of a car battery: First would be the quality of the battery, i.e inexpensive vs top of the line. Another factor is how hard the battery must work, i.e extreme temperature conditions. Also, is the battery maintained, and is the charging system working efficiently to keep the battery charged. On the average a battery will last for about fours years.
