You can run any car without the thermostat.. but the car is suppose to run with certain water temp. This is what the thermostat controlls. If you take it out check it by boiling water on your stove and If it does not open that is your problem.see if it open at 200* or less. use meat thermometer. If you take it out and the car still runs hot the problem is somewhere else. Like the electric fans are not running, The Water pump is going bad. loose fan belt not turning the pump, Something trash blocking air from radiator.. check all of these things. the car is running hotter something else is wrong. If you live in a really hot place you can buy a lower temp theromstat.. they come from 175*-210*. you really should run one.

Where is the bleederror valve in radiator lincoln aviator

Hello Eric,

If you'd care to elaborate...

I have a bunch of Lincoln books...
Can you elaborate on your trouble.

If you cooling system is throwing some warning... about coolant
either your ENTIRE system level is to low or you have a leak between your fill reservoir (recovery tank (at firewall)) and your radiator.

My best suggestion would be to beg, borrow or buy a cooling system tester (see below) and do a cold pressure test of your system (leaks are MUCH MORE OBVIOUS) without the engine running...

Autozone (for example) has a tool loan program
(once said to be FREE (Haven't checked lately)).
