Question about Cars & Trucks
You may have a leaky fuel system. run a fuel pressure test and isolate where the leak is from . better also to change the fuel pump. unless you have a leaky fuel injector and no rail residual pressure to start car in the morning or after a few hours in parking.

check the fuel pump relay! It sounds like it is one of your relays. If it was an electrical or sensor problem, the check engine light would be on.

I have seen crank sensors go and leave no codes, but, likely the fuel pump is going away...they get hot and seize, then cool down and work again. I would not replace either without proper testing only because parts are expensive and there are other heat sensitive components in there. (coil etc) Be aware that it will check out good if it is running right while tests are being done.

Testimonial: "It cranks when hot and has sit for a while, when it would not crank. If you now think it might be crank sensor, how do how do I get to it. "
i just had the same problem in my bmw 325i. Probably vaccum leak or exhaust leak. Check that nothing came loose in these areas. It takes time for your car to learn the new CPS (cam pos. sensor) so give it a few days and reset the code again and see if it works.

SOURCE: my 2003 Alero, won't start
Its faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter. In your vehicle the fuel pressure is low,due to this faulty fuel pump and clogged fuel filter,so its not starting. But it starts when you spray liquid in intake. The liquid directly goes to engine so vehicle starts.Replace the fuel pump and filter. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
