Question about Hyundai Sonata
My car started fine and then died less than 10 seconds later. I've had no previous problems. I tried to restart it, no luck. I wiggled the battery cables (no corrosion on posts) and it started but died again after a few seconds. Now it will not start at all but it will crank.
Nicole 3 things keep a motor from starting.1. NO SPARK, 2. NO FUEL,. 3 ENGINE DAMAGE. Check to see if it has spark..
if it has spark its probably loss of fuel.. can be a clogged fuel filter or a inoperative fuel pump..

Your alternator charges your battery. No alternator, no battery charge.

usually the distributor MODULE
they are renound for this sort of drama
get the wiring checked aswell as it may be due to faulty charging & causing computor errors [I hope you didnt short out the battery when you changed it!!!! ]

I am having the exact same problem with my VW Touareg @60,000 miles. Two weeks ago and again today it sputters and stalls shortly after starting. I brought it into the shop and they could not reproduce the problem and said it was fine. Also, they had no ideas when I describes the problem. Anyone know what it going on? I am out of warranty.
