Check at the distributor where the plug wire for that cylinder comes out of it. Use a timing light by plugging it in at that point and wee if there is a spark from no. 7. if not, there is a problem in your distributor such as rotor, points or electronic ignition etc. If you have spark there check by removing the spark plug then touch the threads to metal ground and see if the plug sparks. if it does, you may have a problem with a valve or injector not actually firing. May be an electronic problem with that injector.

SOURCE: changing spark plugs on lincoln town car

Remove the spark plug wires, remove the spark plugs, replace them. Do this one cylinder at a time if you never did it. On that year you may need to remove the upper intake to access the plugs on one side. In that case go to a shop. This would not be a novice job.

SOURCE: how di I change the spark plugs on my 2002 lincoln

Remove the coils one at a time. The plugs are under them. The coils are tucked under the fuel rail, but you don't have to remove the rail. The coils will come out, just unplug them and remove the 7mm bolt that holds it down.

Check engine light on diagnostic says missfire cylinder#1

The coil over plug design should just have the one bolt holding it in place. I believe it is a 7mm bolt and I recall needing to use a 1/4 drive socket, extension with a swivel attachment. You may have to remove the bolts holding down the fuel rail to SLIGHTLY shift the rail out of the way to assist removing the coil but do not remove. that can cause more problems the injector seals.

It all started when I went off the road to avoid deer and it took a real bumpy beating, the engine light started flashing ang the a/c went out changed relay for the a/c pump and the a/c started working...

You have to determine which cylinder has the miss. This is done by a cylinder leakage test, injector balance test , compresson test and scope testing..
Unless you have the equiptment to conduct these test I suggest you take it to a repair shop and have then perform these test this way you know which cylinder is missing and why its missing(eg vacuum leak, injector failure, spark failure etc)

Misfires and codes PO316, PO306, & PO305 popped up on the diagnostics check. What needs to be fixed based on that?

You will need to replace no 5 and no 6 coil pack and spark plugs. P0316 is random missfire that computer could not detect the cylinder that was causing it,just knew one was missfiring.
Coil packs are common concern on these vehicles. Can get oil leak into the coil pack wells and may also even get moisture into them.
If yours is a 3.9L it may be involved in owner satisfaction program 07M07 or 07N09 in which they will cover them under the program for up to 10yrs or 100000 miles which ever comes first.

ok since you said you changed the plug and coil pack, start with the injector wire harness and look it over for any shorts or grounds, also make sure the terminals on the no.2 injector connector aren't loose. if you have access to a noid light you can check to make sure the injector is pulsing. check the no.2 plug wire as well. swap it with another wire if you can and see if the miss follows the plug wire. if those fail to solve your problem and the misfire remains on the no.2 cyl, try swapping an injector. if that also fails then you may have a problem with the cyl head.

I have a misfire code on cyl #1 but dont know why?

could be the spark plug, and/or plug wire,or fuel injector, coil, if the coil pack has a separate coil for each cyl. have them checked.
