The red clamp on the charger goes to the + sign on the battery. The black goes to the -. I you want a deep charge(best) set the charger on 2 amps and run it for 8 to 12 hours. If you need to get the car started, set the charger on 225 amps for just a couple of minutes. Start the car while it is on..2 amps can charge forever. 20 amps for 30 minutes. 30 to 40 amps for 15 minutes. 225 amps for five minutes..DO NOT charge 20+ amps for hours. It will kill the battery

Under the backseat to hook directly to the battery. or under the hood hot to the fuse box should be a red cover with a + on it, ground to the exhaust.

Locate the Positive cable marked with a + sign.. connect the red cable on the charger to this post.. Take the other clamp from the Batt charger and connect it to the neg Cable post Marked - or connect the negative clamp to anymetal part on the engine.

My camaro does not start , all the lights come on , when i turn the key it only clicks!!

Its probably your battery, your lights can still work if your batteries dead. Why your battery would be dead is another issue. Could be it's just old or your alternator is bad and its not charging the battery like it should. The problem could be your starter also, so test that 1st to make sure. Thats what I'd recommend.

How many amps does this charger put out????
A small trickle charger will take forever to fully recharge a dead battery, you'll need to have a battery charger that can put out enough amps to properly charge a dead battery. To clarify, the chargers sold at Sears, the large square types on wheels are the best for charging dead batteries and they also have an amp meter telling you how much the battery is accepting. After you charge your battery, you should be around 12.5 volts to 12.7 volts. DO NOT OVER CHARGE!!!
