Question about 2007 Chevrolet Epica 2.0
How do I restart my car after the battery has died and the remote start and the key will not open the door, security lock/anti theft light is on? I have tried already to charge battery.
You need a full charged battery or battery replaced [if battery bad and not holding charge] your remote key fob will not work if battery is dead or to weak to start car but key should be able to manually open drivers door --if its not an original key new cut or worn down [may have to jiggle in door ] your anti theft/security lock will come on when you use key in door than you have a few seconds after you open door to put key in ignition and turn to on position before alarm goes off but you need to get battery issue corrected first if key still doesnt work may need to have assistance [slimjim]lock to get in

I had the same problem. The dealer thought I was crazy when I explained the problem. They would drive the car and then try it and obviously it worked. They said it was fixed. It happened again. So they replaced the remote saying there was an internal failure. It still was a problem. They finally called chevy headquarters and found out there is an updated receiver for the 2007 model. I installed it and now it works. Good thing it was still under warranty.

believe it or not you need to take it to the dealer. There is a software reprogram for the remote control door lock receiver to fix the probelm - really common on tahoes and suburbans. Go to the dealer and tell them about bulletin #06-08-52-002g. It probably will need new remotes also. Try and get the dealer to warranty it since its a known product defect and a known problem

On a 2003 Chevy Maibu the theft system light comes on and blinks when the system is triggered. The car will not start and the fuel pump cuts out. You must turn key to on and have all doors closed. Keep the key to on for 10 mins til theft light turns solid and then disappears. Then turn key to start and it should fire up.
