Question about 2001 Toyota Corolla

How can a 2001 Toyota corolla door key pad by change to an automatic button key opener

Please the driver side door keypad of my car is bad and it disturbs when struggling to open it, so i always open the doors through the passenger side door before i get in. So i was wondering if there was a means the driver keypad side of the door could be changed and made in such a way that i could be able to open it from a distance before approaching the car and also i wish to know how i can use either device, my phone or ipod to play musics directly to my car because the CD disc player in the car keeps rejecting all my Cd's i have.

You can have an after market product professionally fitted to your car for use with a remote control. if ur cd player has bluetooth make use of it or u may need to buy an auxilliary cable that connects ur phone to the cd player via the aux port. if there is no aux port then consider using an FM modulator that u plug to into the cig lighter....good luck

SOURCE: 1997 Toyota corolla - warning noise when lights left on - not working on drivers side!

The ground circuit for the driver side door switch is compromised, or the door switch is bad. Try this: Remove the black rubber cover from the door swich. Using a 10 millimeter wrench or socket, loosen & tighten the switch retention bolt. See if the dome light flickers. If so, the ground on the switch is bad, & just needs cleaned up. If not, remove the switch, and touch the wire behind the switch to the body,or the bolt hole. If the dome light lights, you need a door switch. Your problem is entirely in the door switch/ground/wiring. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My door light is allways on on my 2001 Corolla, sometimes even when there is no keys in it.

check the door jamb switches at each door.probably a bad switch.check each door one at a time.locate the little button/pin that you can push in.see if the door light goes out when you push any of them in.that one will be the bad switch

The turning signals and emmergency lights just stopped working on my 2001 toyota corolla. Could it be the fuse? If so where is the fuse located?

More than likely it will be your fuse. There should be a panel inside the car located under the steering wheel, or possibly on the side of the dash with the drivers side door open. Check owners manual for specific fuse locations.
