Install ac belt--how to ajust tension pully

What engine?

It should have an automatic tensioner for the serpentine belt. If the tensioner does not automatically rotate and take up the slack in the belt than it is bad and needs to be replaced.

Where is the serpentine belt ajuster

here is a picture, but it is on the front of the engine and is sporing loaded, u can see the arm of the automatic adjuster move/jitter when the engine is running at idle, turn the AC on and off to really see it move to take up the load slack.

How do i replacen the belts on the pullys

On 1.8 engines. Loose the belt ajustment next to the power steering pump and remove the belt. There is nut holding this ajustment screw, For the one that goes into the Alternator loose the ajustment underneath the alternator, You dont have to remove any bolts on the Alternator or Power steeing pump. (To prevemt noise make sure you replace with Gates belts instead of Nissan.)

A local parts store should have the idler and the belt. If it wasn't the tensioner your lost then yes, the belt is self sdjust once installed withh all the idlers and tensioner in place. Good Luck, Ned

Sounds like the tensioner bearing is frozen, not turning at all. You need to remove the belt and see if it spins.

Need diagram showing how to install belt belt came off need to know how it go on and how to ajust it

first jack up the right front tire side of your car and remove cover under your car motor, so you can see your pulleys from underneath your car, remove black cover where your timing chain belt is thats on the top center between alternator and powersteering pulleys, ok,looking at all your pulleys from your right side of your front end, starting from your top left is your alternator pulley, put belt on it and go underneath the motor mount to your right top powersteering pulley, then go down around the bottom right ac pulley, then to your left bottom crankshaft pulley, the back side of the belt thats on your top alternator pulley wraps around the soft edge pulley thats above your center waterpump pulley, then wrap around the idler pulley that's under your top alternator pulley, then wrap the backside of your remaining belt around the tensioner pulley that's in on your right, under your top ac pulley, use a 13 mm wrench to adjust by turning towards the back of your car so you can slide the belt on
