SOURCE: 2002 mercury cougar vacuum line off the top of transmission

The hose connects to the top of the transmission, underneath the car's battery (you'll have to remove the battery to see the connection site). It's important that this hose, once reconnected, does not does not get crimped. If the hose is not free to "breathe" pressure buildup in the transmission can cause fluid to pour out of the fill point (where the dip-stick goes).

My 2002 saturn l200 will only blow out air from the defrost vents any idea what could be the problem

These selectors are controlled by the Car's vacuum. Sounds like a vacuum diaphragm that controls Floor/defrost/ etc might be broken. Or you have a slight vacuum leak.

2002 Saturn SL rough idle snail with gas black smoke and doesn't get gas when I push the pedal

Your getting plenty of gas(black smoke). check vacuum lines, Make sure the intake air plenum is tight(hose clamps) check the MAF sensor. After the check the fuel pressure regulator. This will dump gas into the intake also. After that go for the injectors. Stuck open will cause this.

The vacuum lines are missing. I bought some but which ones go where? How many are there? 2002 saturn s series.

Should be a hose routing sticker under the hood somewhere.. Or buy the Chilton Book. Hard to tell you about vac lines from here.

No vacuum at the actuator under battery

There would have to be a disconnected or damaged vacuum hose between the actuator and the vacuum source. There are several places where vacuum lines have small plastic connectors or plastic t fittings. Those are good candidates for disconnects or breakage. Also check the vacuum hoses at the rear of the engine. They tend to be affected more by heat and contaminants. I've seen them get real soft and mushy or gummy and would collapse when the engine was started, causing a restrictions in the vacuum signal. Have you actually taken the battery and battery tray out of the truck to inspect the vacuum line and actuator? That particular line is prone to becoming rigid and unable to maintain the connection with the actuator. The connection requires the vacuum hose to be bent almost 180deg to hook up to the back of the actuator. It requires the flexibility of a new hose.

Idealing high and slamming into gear

Your engine most likely has a vacuum leak from one or more vacuum lines. Lift the hood and inspect all the vacuum lines and also inspect the intake rubber tube that connects to the throttle body for cracks or bad connections. With the hood up and engine running, you may hear a vacuum leak from one or more hoses.

How to hook up the air condition refrigerant to the car itself on a 1998 saturn sl thankyou

You will need a hose to connect to the can of coolant and to the low side fitting in the car. There will be 2 lines coming from the A/C compressor, the low side is the line that is larger in diameter of the two. Follow that line and you will find the fitting to connect the hose to. I would get a hose that has a pressure gauge included.
