Question about 2006 Nissan X-Trail 2.0

Open Question

Nissan Xtrail not starting ?

Parked the car that night next morning would not start. When swithched on the fuel gauge shows zero and the low fuel light is on. I then added fuel but the tank was 80% full. I have checked for fuel to engine okay. I have checked for spark all okay. Changed plugs in case. Still not starting. I disconected the battery for 30 seconds then put back. Repeated step twice hoping that the can would reset itself. No Luck. When you switch on the vehicle is still shows tank empty. Tank 100% full a few seconds later the low level warning light comes on and stays on. Is there a circuit that is linked to this preventing the car from starting. I have also checked all the visible fuses that may have blown but found none. What can the problem be

it is likely the EGR Valve. If you are going to replace it, make sure that it is the exact valve for your car. Take the Vehicile ID number with you to get the exact Valve.Although they may look exactly the same, your car might not run with another EGR. they are caliberated to the engine and it has to be exact.

SOURCE: Fuel gauge on my 2006 Nissan Frontier

You're in luck
There is a possible recall on 2005-2008 nissan frontier/pathfinder and xterra, for erratic/inaccurate or
inoperative fuel gauge. This is the part# for the fuel gauge sending unit in question is #25060-ZS00A
Give your local nissan dealer and they should be able
to help you out. The reference number should be
#NTB07-069 AND 069A Hope this helps.

My 2005 model Nissan Xtrail cant start but just cranks. i parked it fine

removed the two 'Fuel Pump' fuses from driver side fuse box located underneath the steering wheel. one is 10A (Red) and other is 15A (Blue). Then started the car, car started for couple of seconds before the engine went dead again. put back both the fuses, cranked the engine and it started fine, there was bit of smoke for first few minutes but it all cleared up.

Flooded nissan xtrail. whats the 1st step to make it run again?

flooded as in parked in a pond?

remove the spark plugs
disable the fuel pump and ignition system
crank the engine to clear the combustion chamber
remove the fuel tank and replace
clear the fuel lines and replace the filter

speaking of filters, don't forget the air filter too

by then you might be ready to reassemble and try to start but first....change the oil and then cross your fingers

1997 mpv mini van runs great. While traveling i drove from SC to Atl GA....parked and went into motel for evening...the next morning i had very difficult time getting it re started....Like it was not...

I think you should check your battery and alternator. If they both check good you may have a battery draw, something draining the battery over night.Check your doors make sure they are closing like they should.

i have the same problem right now. the relay is located under the big black box on passenger side of engine compartment. There are three relays in there. orange, blue and white. I dont know which is associated with the fuel pump though.
