When did this start up and had anything significant happen just before this started, i.e., driving through deep water, changing out spark plugs, changing BRAND of spark plugs....etc.

Starting point for firing order

Starting point is always cylinder 1, on straight engines at the front, on V engines front left. The gear wheel or crank sensor will register at TDC or just before. TDC can be found with a pencil inserted in the spark plug hole of cylinder 1
So for a 4 cylinder engine it's 1,3,4,2
6 cylinder straight, 1,3,5,6,4,2,
Cant remember the v engines but it's always left right etc.and from end to centre.

2005 GMC Envoy shaking and smells like burnt plastic inside the truck..

You need to educate yourself--study OBD 2
Vehicle Systems

We have had check lights for 35 years,no reason
to not know about them or what to do

You do not use any vehicle with a check light or
any dash lights on,they are telling you the vehicle
has system faults, that need to be diagnosed & find
a problem to repair

It shakes,it smells-- but you keep using it,will get
very expensive, if you don't change your ways, when
it comes to motor vehicles

Get it to a dealer or the best local shop you can find

The BEST Shop-- not some highway chain store-- where
you sit for 5 hours & they do little

Where are the spark plugs 2007 Envoy

Assuming you have the 6 cylinder 4.2L engine, the plugs are under the large black air box that has VORTEC on it. Each plug has a coil pack mounted above it, these coil packs need to be removed to get access to the plugs.

What is the cylinder order in a 2003 gmc envoy 4.2l L6

1-5-3-6-2-4 I'm going to completely assume that the GMC envoy, based on what I can gather, uses the old 235 Chevy (50's) design, since it reduced balance issues, and therefore, this would be the right sequence.

My "GMC Envoy 2003 XL SLT 4.2 liter 6 cylinder",check engine light came on.every morning i start the car to warm-up and it's o.k. but then when i put it on drive"It starts to shake when i step on the brake...

First thing to do is to clean the throttle body and throttle plate thoroughly. While performing the cleaning, disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes. This will force the PCM to relearn with a clean throttle body. See if this helps with running and the codes. Also make sure the gas cap is tightened properly.

When im driving betwen 60-70 my 2006 envoy denali shakes y change a new tires, balance, and aligment and the problem persist,

If your sure that the tires are balanced and that all the suspension componets are good then it is time to start looking at the drive train.

The problem will be either an unbalanced drive shaft due to a weight falling off or a bad U joint.

Thanks for using FixYa.
