SOURCE: need to know location oxygen sensor 2003 tiburon

WHICH ENGINE?.. 2.0 four cylinder? OR 2.7 V6?
Anyway, sensor 2 is always 'downstream', so it's lower than all the others. V6? lowest near the firewall.. .4 cylinder?.. lowest near the radiator.

SOURCE: Oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1...no reading, needs

Hi
Its a very easy job and you should be able to do it with one spanner, very easy to find, they are mostly on the exhaust down pipe nowadays, look under the bonnet you will see a wire going into the exhaust with a bolt end screwed into it, simply unhook the wired end from the clip and unscrew the sensor.

The down pipe is the part of exhaust that leads from the engine then down and under the car, sometimes they are on the centre part of the exhaust, But im pretty sure not on this model.

Prices for these go from about £30 to £130ish you dont need a dealer part as they are quite a simple device and it makes no real difference, most parts suppliers will be able to get you this, I recommende Euro car part, you should have a supplier in your area they are a big firm, also have a look on ebay so you have an idea of price.

here is one, please check this is the correct one for your car though, ask the seller. click the text to view http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BNIB-Hyundai-Exhaust-Manifold-Oxygen-Sensor-3921037140_W0QQitemZ270512235291QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3efbc9231b

Hope this helps, Also make sure the exhaust is cold, and leave the ignition off.

Regards
Dan

SOURCE: How do I replace the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor

You will need a 02 sensor SOCKET

Remove it like you would a spark plug

Reinstall new o2 sensor with a little anti seize compound ON THE THREADS ONLY DO NOT GET ANYTHING ON THE SENSOR TIP OR YOU WILL RUIN IT.

Torque to specified value for your model

Reconnect o2 sensor wire

Done.

SOURCE: i am getting a engine code that says p0130 o2

If your vehicle has a V-6 then it would be the first o2 sensor on the exhaust coming of the front of the engine. If it is a 4-cylinder. then it will be the first o2 sensor coming of of the engine.

What is the best way to remove O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2?

Here is the low-down on oxygen sensors, and their location designations explained:

Oxygen sensors are screwed into the exhaust system at various points. Some people say that there are 4 oxygen sensors, but technically, that is not correct. Only the front 2 are considered oxygen sensors.

These oxygen sensors are screwed into the exhaust pipe or directly into the exhaust manifold, one on each bank. Because they are in front of the catalytic converter, this is often referred to as 'upstream'.

The other 2 are actually called catalyst monitors. They are oxygen sensors, but they serve a different purpose. They monitor the activities of the catalytic converters, thus the name, catalyst monitors. They are screwed into the exhaust one on each bank, after, or downstream, of the catalytic converters.

On a 4 cyl engine, there are only a total of two such sensors, the one in front of the catalytic converter is the O2 sensor, the one behind the cat is the catalyst monitor.

The location names for them are as follows:
  • On a 4 cyl, the front / upstream is called "bank 1 sensor 1" and the rear / downstream sensor is called "bank 1, sensor 2."

  • On a V6 or V8 engine:

    • the passenger side bank on a forward facing engine, or the bank closest to the firewall on a transverse mounted engine, is bank number 1, so the forward / upstream sensor on that bank would be "bank 1, sensor 1."

    • The driver's side bank (forward facing mount engine), or front bank (transverse engine) would be bank number 2, thus the forward / upstream sensor on that bank would be "bank 2, sensor 1," and the rearmost / downstream sensor on that bank would be "bank 2, sensor 2."

I have research around and found that the Bank 1 sensor 3 O2 sensor is post Cat. But when I got under there I dont see anything that could resemble a sensor. Where is it. Please help. Marc

try this
ALLDATA Editor's Note: Always verify #1 cylinder location prior to diagnosis and repair.

- Cylinder bank number one is the bank that contains number one cylinder.

Cylinder #1 on right side.

- The first oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/1.
- The second oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/2.
- A third oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 1 would be numbered O2 Sensor 1/3.
- The first oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 2 is numbered O2 Sensor 2/1.
- The second oxygen sensor in cylinder bank # 2 is numbered O2 Sensor 1/1.

- If a V-6 or V-8 vehicle only uses one downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) it is numbered O2 Sensor 1/2, even if it uses two upstream HO2S.

The bank has to do with which side of the engine. The 'Sensor 1' indicates that it is upstream of the catalytic converter.

Oxygen sensors are always numbered like this:
Bank 1 sensor 1
Bank 2 sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 2
Bank 2 sensor 2

Some manufacturers use a kind of shorthand that reads different, but means the same thing:
Sensor 1/1 or O2s 1/1
Sensor 2/1 or O2s 2/1
Sensor 1/2 or O2s 1/2
Sensor 2/2 or O2s 2/2

Bank 1 is always the side of the engine where cylinder number 1 is located and, of coarse, Bank 2 is the opposite side.
On a 4 cylinder engine, there is only 1 bank and it is always referred to as Bank 1.

Sensor 1 is always the upstream sensor (the one located BEFORE the catalytic converter)
Sensor 2 is always the downstream sensor (the one that is located AFTER the catalytic converter.

Most GM engines have #1 cylinder located on the left bank, (or Driver's Side) of the engine,

So, the answer to your question would be that you are looking for the sensor located before the catalytic converter on the right (or Passenger Side) of the truck.

2005 gallant with O2 sensor engine light is one...how do I fix it?

have the engine light code scanned, and it'll tell you if it's bank 1 sensor 1, bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 1, bank 2 sensor 4.

Bank 1 is on the same side as Cylinder 1
Bank 2 is on the opposite side of Cylinder 1

Sensor 1 is located before the catalytic converter.
Sensor 2 is located after the catalytic converter
