Question about Cars & Trucks
Stop using it
You have a system failure
It is going into Fail Safe to protect some
part of the vehicle
Why would you ignore a warning light & not take to a shop
& look in your owners manual?
Take to a repair shop to be diagnosed
Why would you continue to use any vehicle that has done that before or has any lights light on the dash, after the engine is running?
You need to educate yourself on today's vehicles
Study OBD2 Systems on the internet & take your vehicles
issues very very seriously
You can not just drive a vehicle all year round
They have to be checked over & data looked at, even when
you have no issues at all, or costly damage can occur

a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If you live in the US, take it to qany Auto Zone store and thy will read the codes off for you, I would suspect any right thinking competitor would do the same, check if you don't have one near by.
Hope this is of some help.

if it is still under warranty, take it back to them, tell them to fix it right this time, and yes you can reset only if you have a handheld device to plug into you car, still doesn't solve the problem though,"TAKE IT BACK"

SOURCE: the check engine light came
The check engine light is still on because the code hasen't been cleared/erased (or, an insufficient number of 'key' cycles hasn't occurred yet. Let me know the code, & I'll get back to you.
