Which engine,?
what year, 2005
and what does 44 olate mean?
these cars have many engines, called engine options.
1.8L and 2.5L are common.
you never said what you are attempting to do?
1: replace timing chain?
2: check spark timing? (it's fixed in the ecu, but on engine early the cam sensor can be moved and set wrong.

all all these engine, the damper pulley (crank pulley) is marked with a notch and then a scale above.
others (newer) have only 1 mark set. for spec, timing.

on my 2.5L the CAM sensor can be set wrong.
and the spec, is stated on the EPA hood sticker.
and on mine , 04' the timing freeze jump is gone (DLC)
and was moved to SUZUKI scan tool only usage.

so :
what engine?
what country?
and what are you attempting???????????????

You have to take your car to the Suzuki's Authorized Service Centre or Suzuki Specialist to Perform a Scan via OBD Tool which would pinpoint the Problem area of your Vehicle.

How do i set timing chain on sprockets ,ie top dead centre.

I don't know what car you have, so here's what was needed on mine:
1. Bring engine to Top Dead Center, ready to fire #1. There should be a mark on the front pulley or on the flywheel. Move cams to the TDC mark, too. My car was twin cam, the front cams needed to face apart, and set the marks....

Yours may be different.

When timing my Toyota pickup 1992 what is 5 degrees before to dead center

Hi,when you put the timeing belt on the cank pully is at the 0 mark, wich is (T,D,C)top dead centre, now the other timeing you are talking about is called the ignition timeing, wich is when the spark ignites the fuel and air in the cumbustion chamber, this is why the ignition has to be set 5%(B,T,D,C)before top dead centre.
wright first inline the top dead centre 0mark back up on the crankshaft pully, then take off distributer cap and undo securing bolt so that distributor can turn,
the rotor arm should be pointing at the number one (H,T,L)high tention lead, now slowly turn the distributor anti clock wise, then slowly turn the distributor clock wise, now as it comes up to the number one h,t,lead it should spark, when it sparks tighten the disributor bolt back up,right it should start up and run maybe not to good but it should run,
now buy a timeing light where you can put the 5% into the timeing gun itself,so now put the earth and positive on the earth of the battery and the clip onto the H,T,lead start the car again and point the strobe light from the gun onto the 0T,D,Centre markthe mark should freez every time the light flashes on it ,undo bolt on distibutor and ajust verry slowly when you are happy that the mark is lineing up propperly then I think thts job done.
all the best.

How to reroute the drivibg belt or fan belt

Hi,just inline the crankshaft to the top dead centre marks, then check that the camshaft marks line up,if they dont line up then turn the crankshaft pully again untill the camshaft marks line up,slacken the timeing belt pully adjuster take belt off and replace with new one, tighten the pully adjuster back up,now put a spanner on the crakshaft pully and turn clockwise untill the top dead centre marks and the camshaft marks inline if they dont then slacken the ajusting pully inline marks again and try again,if marks do inline ok then you are ready to start the car.
hope this helps good luck.

Timing mark is on the front pulley at front of motor , top dead centre lines up with with pointer on timing cover, and there should be marks on the cam shaft or cog that lines up with a pointer or mark on backing cover.

I can find the timing mark I need riset the time on nissan pickup 1986 2wd

Hi,
the timing mark is usually a white painted groove on the main fan belt pulley.
Look for another plate with a a couple of lines or grooves mounted on the engine block right behind the fan belt pulley wheel.
Assuming you have hooked up your timing light per the instructions...When you shine your timing light at this area you are looking to see if the pulley mark lines up with the timing mark on the engine block plate when the engine is at a specific idling speed and the distributor is adjusted to make the timing mark line up when cylinder 1 is firing.
The engine block plate is often marked as 6 deggrees BTDC (before top dead centre). The middle mark is usually top dead centre. (the timing figure could be anything eg 8 deg BTDC..I am just usually an example figure)

The owners manual says for setting the timing is at 8 degrees,When using the timing light, What mark is 8 degrees?

The engine turns clockwise, the first mark is tdc (top dead centre) and the second mark is preset at 8 degrees so when using a timing light line up the second mark on the pulley with the fixed mark on the timing cover at idle
