2005 and 2006 have all had similar issues, seems that the pin switch that monitors the door is intermittently causing the issue. Many have found it to be the rear hatch,my suggestion would be to jumper out the switch with a hard jumper(wire). The dealer will have a scan tool that may show the issue ,the problem with that is it may not always happen when you want it to.See if you can jump out the switch or work out something with the local dealer ,the should help you and they know it as a issue that has been happening for quite some time now.

First we would need to know if it is a factory alarm or something you installed after purchasing the vehicle. Or if the alarm is an aftermarket alarm installed before you bought the vehicle. Assuming that it is an after market alarm, the sensitivity is set too high. They are usually installed under the dash by the driver side kick panel. Find the box (black color) find the slot with the plus and minutes on it and turn the dial to at the most medium. If it is a factory alarm, you might have a faulty alarm module or somebody is messing with your car Just for kicks.

Not quite sure, but the alarm must have a motion or temp. sensors on the car. They may have to be recalibrated to work properly on your type of car.Who installed the system? It may be simple, or may not. It sounds like you dont live in a good area if you need this system. Try the above and good luck.

More info needed. Is this a factory [ie Ford] alarm system or an aftermarket unit? If an aftermarket unit, what brand?

If it is an aftermarket alarm try turning the shock sensor sensitivity down a little.

The horn beeps once softly after a few seconds of getting in or out of my car

If asociated with door slap, must be a loose/worn wire, close to the horn, touching the car chasis, also hunk on driving over a bad street (as it gets shaked).Need to ceck the wires. If asociated with steering, bad wiring under the steerwheel cap.If asociated with car up/down as u get in/out,bad wiring somewhere (best guess near suspension).Or maybe is factory funny alarm stuff..Very paranormal :)I would start by checking the hunk itself and the switch (bad spring under the main link).

Try closing the doors then hook up jumper cables, let it sit for a couple of minutes with cables hooked up and other vehicle running. Then try to use key to turn off alarm before opening door. Then try to start it.
