The fuel filter is generally located on the drivers side underneath the vehicle. You will need a floor jack and stands if available.Once you have securely lifted vehicle to desired height you should be able to view the filter, just simply follow the fuel line.Tools required, open faced wrenches.

The fuel filter is located under the car along the frame once found the inlet side has a plastic line and clip push line towards filter and then depress sides of clip and slowly pull off filter gas will leak out of filter and line then remove filter from mounting bracket and loosen the hex line with a flare wrench 16mm if OE filter the nut size on filter is 20mm some replacements are 19mm but you can hold this with a crescent wrench spin out and remove line reassembly start and run car and check for leaks.

Changed fuel filter and relay, ran for 20 seconds and wont run now?

How bad was the fuel filter? I change mine about every 1 1/2 to 2 years. When I recommend a tune up, I include air and fuel filters, with an oil change if the oil is dirty. Thin with fuel filters, no one ever changes them. Clogged fuel filters puts wear and tear on fuel pumps. The pump works harder to get the fuel though. Seen to many times when replacing the fuel filter, the pump died, or shortly after. First thing to do is check fuel pressure. At key on and running. No year make or model. Would need that info also.

I need to know where the fuel filter is located on my 2004 Pontaic Grand AM and do I have to have special tools to change it myself? I already have the fuel filter. I have changed fuel filters in the...

If its a "paper" type cartrige filter, the fuel pump sits inside it, in the fuel tank.

If its metal, most GM bodies have the fuel filter under the car, drivers side, in front of the rear axle.

Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel filter on a 2004 chrysler sebren

Like most late model Chrysler products this car doesn't have an external "IN LINE" fuel filter, the filter is a very fine mess Nylon sock that goes over the inlet of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank, it is never serviced unless the fuel pump is replaced. This has been the norm since the late 90's. You can buy the strainer separately if you still desire to replace it. See picture below and part number.

Change fuel filter

Fuel Filter The fuel filter should be replaced and all fuel system hoses and connection should be inspected at 12,000 mile (19,000 km) interval for carburetor equipped models, and 30,000 mile (48,300 km) intervals for fuel injected models. When the vehicle is operated in extremely cold or hot conditions, contamination of the filter may occur and the filter should be replaced more often.
