Question about 2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
I got a jetta a year ego it's a five speeds. The thing is in first and second gear the car vibrates and has a hard time picking up speed. I am wandering what is it? I had the car checked but no one can tell me what is wrong with the car. The good new is that on freeway, the car runs perfect but in the city, it runs horrible. Any idea?
It sounds like either bad plugs, wires, or timing. Also check for vacuum leaks. With the engine running, wiggle all your vacuum hoses around, and listen for a hissing. Also check intake manifold bolts for tightness. Coils could also be faulty. Fuel filter could be partly clogged.
