Question about 2006 Ford Taurus
The tail lights do not come on automatically when the headlights come on. The tail lights do come on when the headlights are turned on manually. Is there a fix for this?
It sounds like the day running lights are coming on, not the headlights. If I'm right, the lights would come on when you put it in gear. Other models will come on at engine start. If it is the running lights, not the headlights, you can check by setting the parking brake. This turns off the running lights, but not the headlights. Verify this, and I think you will be happy to find there is nothing wrong. Good luck!

There is relay in the fuse box under the hood that Ford had a problem with in late 2003. I don't know if was a recall or not. You might check on line for recalls for your year of truck. It sound like the relay in the fuse box under the hood my good friend had the same problem with his '04. Hope this helps.

No. All those lights are on the same fuse and are controlled by the headlamp switch.
Make sure that the fuses were all checked on the fuse panel inside the vehicle under the dash. That is where the fuse for those lights is.
