Question about 2006 Chrysler Town & Country
Black tint with rear deforst and wiper
The question and description is a bit vague... is the glass broken and you want to change it? is the defrost not working ? is the tinting bubbled or blurred ? is the wiper unit the problem? In most of any case you will need to remove the plastic trims from the door in the first place. Usually it's just a couple of screws, and some plastic snaps, some of which might need to be unlock and removed using the middle pin in the snaps, some others are just snapped there and will release just by pulling on the trim. If the window needs replacing, it's best to bring it to a auto glass shop, as it is set in special urethane that bonds it to the hatch door pretty good, and requires the same or better grade urethane to be replaced for safety reasons. If the defrost doesnt work, it can be electrical problems like a fuse or a frayed wire, and also could be the metal tracks in the windows that got scratched and no longer give continuity to the circuit, or even the prongs glued to the window that connect the wires that got unglued. In most cases, you can buy kits in your local parts store to repair the lines or redo the prongs. If the tinting is bubbled or blurred or whatnot, then there is no quick fix, you need to replace the tinting strip, and then again it's best to have a professionnal do it cause removing and installing tinting film is usually a major hassle, and i'm talking by experience here... If the wiper unit is the problem, again it can be wiring or fuses and such, or it could be the wiper motor that died and need replacing, or even the wiper arm that stripped on the shaft, making the shaft spin freely instead of moving the arm, in which case either the arm or the motor need replacing depending on which one got stripped. Hope i've covered your problem, since it was hard to tell exactly what it is, so please try to be more precise and descriptive if you post again. :)

If mean how to tint the rear window, The tint goes on the inside. I would remove the plastic rear door cover to start with because you will already be working over your head, after that thoroughly cleaning window with a vinegar based window cleaner, cut film at least 2 inches extra on each side (4 inches added to the widest and tallest measurement) spray water onto window with spray bottle, center film start in center with soft rubber squeegee pushing water and air bubbles out while leaving all 4 sides loose so more water can be sprayed onto window as you work your way out trim excess tint off with razor re-install door panel.

It is legal to tint car windows in San Diego if vehicle has dual side mirrors. Windshields cannot have after-market tinting. If the rear window (rear windshield) receives aftermarket tint, the vehicle must have exterior rear view mirrors on both the left and right sides of the vehicle.
If you want more information, You can talk to window tinting San Diego experts.
