Red light on the clock is flashing and car wont even turn over

Its your immobilisor ,try the spare key if you have one ,also check the end of the key to make sure that the chip hasnt fallen out ,also keep key away from mobile phone /microwave anything giving off a electrical field as well as this can cause the key to lose its magnetic bar code

hi there, you will need a diagnostic check carried out to locate the exact fault, most garages have the equipment to carry out these checks so you won't need to visit your ford agent, a common fault on the engines is the camshaft sensor these cost around £20 and are very easy to replace, however once you have it tested you will now your exact fault, hope this helps

does car have a clutch fan if so stop engine and see if there is any play in fan by trying to move fan blade back and forth if ther is play replace it. also check belt tensioner for excessive play.
