Question about 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Surges on acceleration

2000 silverado surges slightly ( or could be a slight miss) on acceleration from stop to 30 mph or so, also needs to crank awhile before starting, usually cranks 4 seconds turn off , crank again and it fires right up? no codes or service lights on. thanks

    was the fuel filter replaced before hand? (JIM)

I would really change the fuel filter, spark plugs and that should do it

    i changed the plugs and wires about 3 weeks ago and cleaned out the throttle body and it didn't do it again til today. i need to replace the fuel filter though.

I have a 2000 Honda Accord and as I accelerate over 45 mph the care starts making a progressively louder humming/buzzing sound. When I turn slightly to the right the noise will go away. Any ideas wh

sounds like the wheels are out of balance, is there a slight vibration through the steering wheel at this speed? and does the problem stop if you go faster (please drive carefully)

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 ext. cab/short bed. The 5.3l engine surges and sometimes falters (+- 150 rpm) between 30-58 mph in high gear under a slight load. There is no surging or faltering...

is it a automatic because it sounds like the lockup converter try changing the fluid and add a friction modifier napa sells different ones per manufacture

My truck quit running, and had low fuel pressure. I changed the pump, filter, regulator and now has a slight miss and the fuel rail and regulaor are vibrating and making a rubbing noise. The vaccum lines...

not a pro but i think you should go rent a noid tester from autozone or a similar auto place. its a light that plugs into the wire that sends signals to your fuel injecters and it should light up repeatedly when you are trying to crank. if it flashes spuratically then there is your problem

Hum in the front end of Z71 4X4 at 30 mph and above. Feel slight vibration in steering wheel and at gas pedal.

Have the drive shaft checked out. You may have a bad hub bearing or bad CV joint. Look for cracks in the boot, and grease that has been flung inside wheel well
