Connection at battery is loose. Happens all the time. those terminals that bolt to pos and neg shouldn't move will all your might trying to turn it with your hand. If they do then that's the problem.

I have 1998 Chevy Silverado with over 200,000 miles. One morning I started it up just fine, backed out of the drive way, and it just died. I turned the ignition to off, and turned it back on and parked it....

Check your battery terminals. They may be corroded or just loose. If you get it running again have the battery and charger tested at an Advance or Autozone.

Hope this helps.

Intermittently all power lost after attempting to start

sounds like you need to clean the terminals on the battery and/or need to replace the battery cables, check both ends of where the cables attatch to the battery clamps, if they look discolored, melted or corroded in any way , replace them.
