All of the Chiltons/Haynes repair manuals I've bought for my vehicles have wiring diagrams in them. They can be purchased at most auto parts stores. You might find one cheaper on eBay.
Be careful with what you use to clean this part. Only electrical cleaner or a VW approved spray is to be used. Check your air filter for clogging or a misfit in the intake ductwork.
