Make sure the engine is cold , drain the coolant from the rad ,there will be a drain tap/bolt on the bottom of the rad ,be sure to us a container to collect the fluid as should'nt be left to run down a drain etc as is very toxic, disconnect the top and bottom hoses, there are usually two bolts either side of rad loosen these, rad may lift out if not remove the bolts and lift the rad away and out of vehicle , if the cooling fan is attached to the rad remove , will be obvious what bolts need undoing, replace this fan unit on new rad ,then refit new rad , reverse of removal , dont for get to check the drain plug is closed on the new rad , refill cooling system by adding coolant to the expansion tank, run the engine and bleed the air from system ,there will be bleed screws at various points around cooling hoses etc , allow engine to cool 1 hour min ,check coolant level top up and repeat bleeding process as neseccary good luck very straight forward job , keep me posted

My coolant is rapidly disappearing, and I have no clue why?

IF YOU GOT TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM AND DONT HAVE 50 / 50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER. WATER WILL EVAPORATE BOIL AWAY.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS LOOK AT TOP AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSES LEAKS, CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS AROUND BOTH RADIATOR CONTAINER AND RADIATOR CORES LEAKING. CHECK WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE. IF LEAKING WATER NEED REPLACING, CHECK ENGINE CRANKCASE ANTIFREEZE WILL LEAK IN CRANK CASE OR LEAK IN THE INTAKE GASKET COOLANT WILL BURN WITH FUEL.MANY THINGS WILL CAUSE COOLANT LOST.

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer es question cant figure out

Unfortunately, I do not think you will be able to use the flush kit on your car. There are two lines with very short hoses. The one you are looking for is only a few inches long. SORRY.

1: Manual Gear Transmission is hard or jams when shifting from 4th to 5th gear and reverse 2: Radiator water/coolant level remains the same, initially the water/coolant level is used up or dropped. 3:...

1. Your clutch is not releasing. This is commonly caused by a leaking slave cylinder. Replace it.
Could also be an indicator of really hard driving.
2. Leaks like this usually don't fix themselves.Flush the rad, replace it it the bottom fins are rotted, double check the themostat and the hoses.

3. Bent in at the bottom? Someone has hit a curb, HARD! You've bent the lower control arm and this has to be replaced. If this was just a control arm bush (these are replacable with a shop press) you'l usually hear rattling.

2003 saturn ion adding antifreeze every 2 weeks cannot find leak

There should be a radiator cap as it controls what goes into the overfill tank. You might consider replacing it. If there are no leaks in the radiator or hoses, there are only 3 places the coolant can go (water pump leak, blown gasket, or out throught the radiator cap). Hope its the cap because that's the cheapest. Good luck!

2002 lancer started to overheat.

While the car is cold, take off the radiator cap. If you cannot see coolant, fill the radiator with coolant until you can see coolant standing in the radiator. Start the car, and go look at the coolant. Can you see a steady stream of air bubbles in it? If you can, the air is coming into your cooling system (and coolant is exiting) from a leaking head gasket, cracked head, or cracked block. Did you remove the head when you installed your headers? If so, the gasket was probably improperly replaced. Are you getting white smoke from the exhaust? That's an indicator of water in the exhaust.
