How much does it cost to replace a clutch on 1987 nissan pulsar

clutches cost $700.0 plus original, around $500 after market ( (original equipment in a different box) and the labour costs depend on if the flywheel needs surfacing Time will be around 6 hours at local labour time rate.
Are you sure it is the clutch as problematic master cylinders will make a clutch slip

Ball joints

Replacement time and the flat rate time are two different things. Flat rate is what the dealership mechanic for the job no matter how long the mechanic takes to do the job. Usually an alignment is necessary after ball joints because the new parts will change the toe specification.

How long does it take to replace a clutch on a 1991 toyota pickup 4 wheel drive 6 cylinder 3.0 liter engine? The clutch burnt out and I'd like to know how many hours labor it would be to replace it...

hello, it takes about 5 hours actual time for a mechanic using air powered tools and has all the equipment needed such as a transmission jack, a lift and the tools needed.
\Keep in mind that this time varies depending on the skill and experience of the mechanic, the shop can charge you whatever they feel is fair and still make a profit, most shops charge a 'flat rate' this means they have a set price for each repair procedure, this also varies with location. a shop on the east or west coast will tend to be more expensive than in the Midwest.

Fan turns all the time. Replaced fan clutch and it worked okay for one day and now it turns all the time again.

The fan will turn all the time. It will spin at a much slower rate when the air temperature coming from the radiator is cool enough. Once the engine gets warm enough, the air going through the radiator will make the liquid in the center of the fan clutch get more liquidy and that makes the fluid go the outside edge and "grabs" the other part of the fan clutch causing the fan to spin at a much higher rate. Sometimes you can tell by the sound difference. Because my truck has a large fan, when the clutch "engages" it sounds like an airplane powering up at take off. Unless you have electric fans on your vehicle it will spin as long as the engine is running,

Aprox how long should a clutch replacment take not including time it takes to machine the fly

It should take approximately 4 hours unless you can find a mechanic to do it for a flat rate. (which may be more or less)
I hope this helps and good luck!

Clutch replacement cost

8-10 hrs is more accurate, call around to other repair shops and ask what the flat rate time is for a clutch change on your make and model, most clutch jobs run around $600-800.
