You have'nt said your vehicle etc but with all auto box problems the first thing to do is check the auto box fluid level as low level will cause these type of symptoms,as will to much fluid , depending on age ,mileage etc i would recommend a fluid change

Transmission not working right


I believe you have a slipping gears and looks like the gear box need overhauling. Take it to an Automatic Transmission Specialist to Diagnose.Do not leave it and use it any further,surely you will cause serious damage and cost.

Sounds Like Pressure Plate Or Clutch Plate Are Worn Out ,You Could Check The Slave Cylinder To See That It Is Going Full Travel In And Out As You Operate The Clutch Pedal

Transmission goes into nuetral when overdrive is ingaged


over drive is a gear its self it may be going out in the trany so when that over drive button it pushed it thorws it in to that gear that may be out no and it dont matter is you try to sift because it is a gear its self my car is 4 speed drive 1 drive 2 drive (3 gear) and overdrive (4th gear)

When driving yesterday in 4th at 60km the engine starting reving very fast and would not ingage in any gear, blackish / grey smoke was poring out the exhaust, it would not ingage in any gear and I turned...


Tell your mechanic to check for damage radiator trans cooler, sometimes the coil cracks allowing transmission fluid mix with coolant, and coolant with transmission fluid creating lots of present and future problems.

Transmisson ingages in reverse car won't move


your transmission is slipping when its cold. when it warms up the parts inside expand and take up the slack that's caused by the clutches and bands inside being worn. start by checking the trans. fluid level and condition. if it's low, add fluid. if it's brown or black or sparkly, your transmission is junk and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

sounds like transmission damaged. if forward gears are operational, suspect transmission failure. If nothing working ( either in 2 or 4 wheel drive) suspect transmission or transfer case.
