Old car & you have a/c system leaks

Worn compressor seal or whatever

Have lost some refrigerant

Have a shop work on it

Need training, experience & proper equipment for that

I would guess you have lots of leaves & debris between the
condenser & radiator, that has to be removed

Will have to loosen the radiator & move it some to clean out

Compressor keeps kicking off 1999 Buick Century AC

Your ac system is most likely low on freon, or the cooling fan is not working.
When you turn on the ac the cooling fan should stay on.
If it stays on then you are low on freon.

I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee and the air conditioner works fine at a higher rate of speed - when tooling through town the blower is much slower and can't stay cool, any thoughts?

Check the pressures on the AC system to detemine if it is properly charged. Also make sure the condensor is clean so air will flow freely through it.

Ac blows warm air after it cool the cabin

My Durango did the same and it was a high pressure switch bad. If you stand at the front of vehicle it is located on the left side next to the radiator support by the radiator. There is a rubber flap you may have to lift to see it. Switch was a dealer item $ 40.00 I have not had no more problem out of it.
Mine would cycle on and about the time it would get cold the compressor would shut down, it may start a little later or it may be the next day before it would get cold again and then would shut down.

The radiator cooling fan is not working. Upon

assuming fuse and relay are fan should be running when the engine is cool/cold, the only time the fan should be running when it reach over operation temperature which then the fan kick on to bring the temperature back down to it operation temperature. both fan work in sync with one another, addition cooling is needed when the ac is running. when the last time have you replace thermostat and Thermos sensor/switch. I would replace both unit if you have not done so. The thermos/switch will turn the fan on when it reach certain temperature and cut off when it sense the temperature drop in the engine.

I don't know if your truck uses this method but several vehicles I have owned would turn on the electric cooling fan to combat the natural temperature rise that occurs in the engine once the coolant is not circulating anymore.
This prevents hard starting in a hot engine and if the thermostatic switch fails that controls the fan, the cooling (and turn-on) doesn't happen.
This may be your problem.
