How to check oil on mercedes c200 2008 model

Hi,make shore the car is on level ground, best to do this from cold, you pull the oil dip stick out and clean the oil off the end of the dip stick, you will see marks on the dipstick you wont the level to be just below the top mark,
so put the dip stick all the way back into the tube where the dip stick came out of then check to see if the level is ok,best to check a couple of times untill you are happy with the readings, when you are happy that the oil is correct replace dipstic job done.
all the best.

Check engine light is on. Engine sounds like it's knocking. And oil light is coming on. This 2008 Dodge Dakota has only 63,000 miles.

Sometimes that light means overfill oil
Sometimes after changing oil if they put too much that happens
Check the oil level on cold in level place (give it like an hour or so) for the light to reset
If after that the light still on take it to a tech.

Good luck

I have a GMC Sierra 2008 and the light of the engine come on and The Oil Pressure is to low, can you tell me what is going on Thanks

Sounds like you are triggering the check engine light due to low oil pressure. I would check your oil level and see if you are ok with oil. If you are then go to the nearest parts store and have them run a diagnostics (free) and tell you what the code is reading. That way you know what is going on. I have a feeling though that your oil pump is going bad and you are going to need a new oil pump

The symbol for the oil has lightened up. What could this be?

usually it comes on when you are low on oil, check oil, if it is good then there may be something wrong with the sensor or the pump inside( you will usually hear the valve/lifters knock) the oil pan. Hope this helped Tim

HOW TO CHECK THE OIL IN TRASMISION EOS 2007

this is a sealed transmission, no dipstick, the dealer has a specuial tool for checking fluid level, it is an actual small dipstick that goes into a access hole in the transmission case.
