SOURCE: my speedometer stop working

It's a bad stepper motor (the device that operates the needle on the gauge).  Replacements can be found on eBay for approx. $4.95 each - just search for "stepper motor".  Just got 6, to replace all of mine.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevrolet Impala ABS light came on what are

Hi there,

Yes...your brakes will work normally, but the ABS systems works independently, and will remain switched off until the fault has been rectified (you just won't have any anti-lock braking ability).

The first thing you need to do is, extract the diagnostic codes from your vehicle's computer (or have a dealership scan it for codes) - this will immediately identify which component/s of the ABS system are either at fault, or require adjustment.

Could be anything from a wheel sensor out of adjustment, faulty sensor, faulty pump/accumulator etc.

Cheers,

04 Impala 3.8 horn blows low volume and sounds weird

sounds like the diaphragm in the horn is worn/dried out. check to see if you have battery voltage to the horn with either a test light or voltmeter and the horn has a good ground as if not then the horn won`t operate correctly. if these are good replace horn.

My horn on my 2004 impala LS does not work where should i start?

Check the fuse and swap the relay to start. See if you have voltage to the fuse. Then go to the horns (passenger side under the headlight) and check for voltage when you honk the horns. If you do, replace the horn/s. If not, then it gets tricky. The problem is behind the airbag in the steering wheel. I recommend you let someone that knows what they are doing, fix it. Air bags can deploy and cause seriuos dmamge to you.

I cant find the horn. it is not working as well, all my fuses are good. I do not know how to check the relays. 2004 chevy impala

Remove the plastic air deflector surrounding the hood latch assembly & disconnect the electical connector from the horn. Try a jumper wire to make sure it's the horn that's the problem. Check the horn relay also in the engine compartment fuse block cover. Good luck!

When i blow the horn in my 2004 chevrolet impala it sounds really low u can barely hear it

Either horn is shot or you have high resistance in the circuit. Look for rotted terminals by the horn.

Horn not working ! it worked once then stopped any

start at the horn to see if it the wire is connected, then i would remove that wire and use a jumper wire from a positive(battery) to the horn itself and see if you get any sound. If the horn beeps then the horn itself is not the issue. check your horn fuse and relay. if you are getting power at the fuse and relay it is somewhere in the steering column. possible the horn pad itself or the horn cam. If you have have this in for repairs in the past dealing with the steering column it might not have been hooked back up properly. but then again how often do you use your horn it might have been not working for quite awhile. hope this helps.

Horn stopped working

In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury
