First check to see if you get spark with key in on position check for spark if you have spark and your saying your explorer won't turnover ( crank ) then first see if headlights work if no check the battery with a testor. if battery is good check the fuel pump fuse be sure its not burnt out and is in tight. if fuse is good turn key to on position and at the same time listen for the electric fuel pump to hum if you hear no short hum your pump may be dead , be sure to check fuel relay switch to be sure. if its the pump its about a $400.00 job using a ford pump stay away from store brands.

96 kia sportage wont fire backfired once very loadly no power to tps cam or crank sensor fuel pump will turn over but wont crank

Being it is a 96. It could be many different things, electrical. Really should have the codes read. Check fuses first. No power to the cam and crank is a no start situation.

CAN YOU REPLACE A 1995 GEO TRACKER ENGINE WITH A TRACKER ENGINE WITH A CRANK SHAFT SENSOR???

what years? her ill give examples (no 1.8L sports)
in each case keeping original in/exh manifold of origional
this is called, a Long block swap......!
96 to 95 16v ok ( the crank sensor just sets there, doing zip)
96 to 95 8v no go. ( it will run by ECU while have fuel mapping)
95 8v to 96 16v no go ( missing crank sensor and mapping issues)
95v 16v to 96 16v,(missing crank sensor, move it.)

and you can swap any with harness and ecu. and manifolds.

see swaps here
http://www.fixkick.com/SWAPS.html#G16Bswaps

and links to near infintate swap data.

96 Monte carlo z34 won't crank over unless I jump

Sounds like a problem with the key switch, probably the security system. You may only have power to the fuel pump when the engine is cranking.
Is the security light on or flashing ?

What dose the crank sensor control in a 96 dodge diesel

The crank sensor on the truck works with the camsensor the crank sensor uses the cam to synchronize and identify where number one piston position is at. It is responsible to fire you injector and for how long is determined by the cam position sensor. On a 96 Dodge diesel the crank sensor is also responsible for you tach reading, your air condition ,and for the alternator.

1995-96 Isuzu Rodeo transmission swapable?

No they are not compatible. They changed the crank between 95 and 96. I have a 96 that needed an engine swap and the dealer that I bought it from was paying for the engine, he bought a 95 engine and after a month of trying the mechanic said no way no how, the crank between the two is different.
