SOURCE: 2007 Suzuki sx4 engine light on after oil changed

The solution is that when the oil filter is removed, oil gets on the O2 sensor and ruins it. Must cover the O2 and that keeps the oil off. To keep the check engine light off, is to replaced the O2 sensor. Problem solve. Later on sx4's they move the O2 in a different spot. I work on Suzuki cars. Don

SOURCE: 2007 suzuki sx4 emission control light on. 17000 miles

My light in my 2007 SX4 just came on. Apparently my oxygen sensor is wrecked... allegedly from oil dropping on it during oil changes. Did the light come on after the most recent oil change?

The P0327 means Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank 1 or Single Sensor).
the knock sensor is located in the front of the engine located behind the oil dip stick just to the left.

Location crankshaft position sensor suzuki sx4 2010

Carlos why not post the scan DTC codes and not ask for locations.
the SX4 has many engines world wide.
must we guess yours, no photos. no VIN, no idea where you are
or what engine your car came with.
asking blind like this is silly.
read this.
"Although originally intended solely for Europe, the SX4 is sold in most of Suzuki's international markets"
so that being a hard fact, read this.
1.5 L M15A I4 (petrol)
1.6 L M16A I4 (petrol)
2.0 L J20A I4 (petrol)
2.0 L J20B I4 (petrol) Common on USA car (EPA allowed it here)
1.3 L D13A I4 (diesel)
1.6 L DV6ATED4 I4 (diesel)
1.9 L D19A I4 (diesel)
2.0 L D20A I4 (diesel)

the J20b (has VVT now)
so why not say why your looking for it, INTERNET RUMORS
if rumors, as is so common wrong, every we site has the CKP is bad at every misfire, is that you,?
end easter egg hunt 1000s.

you do know the book as suzuki is only 4 bucks to read , right.
and dont need to ask all this , right?
$4 REAL not FAKE ! not cloned, the real deal.....

below is usa J20b CKP sensor (not J20a !!!!)

why not post the symptoms first>>>?????????????
and scan codes, real not your interpretation..... of them.
P0340 355, or?
the J20a engine this sensor is buried behind the flywheel,
yes, would need to be remove first. on j20a engines.

How do we check and replace starter on a 2007 suzuki sx4 ?

checking is always first why guess????????
no symptoms stated, so can really help you
but lets say , it dont crank.
  1. does it crank, no
  2. does jumper cables to running donor car crank , yes, battery dead./discharged only, or alternator let it go dead.
  3. jumper fails. so hot wire the starter soleniod, that works ok>?
  4. yes the starter is good, you owe me 100 clams.
  5. no, then the KEY line is dead.
  6. so you wiggle the clutch pedal and it starts now, the clutch switch was /bad . you bypass this switch it cranks perfect.
  7. got a voltmeter this is 100x more easy,. for sure.

It is usually advisable to replace it after 90.000KM if its a belt.but if its a chain it is better to wait until you hear the signs such as unusual noise(rattling) from the chain and have it replaced immediately. The problem with the timing belt is that it may not give warning when its about to break, so its better to replace it after 90.000Km or according to the vehicle manufacturer,s instruction manual.

Does my 2007 suzuki sx4 awd have a timing belt or chain?

the engine type answers that.
they have many optional engine
discover what engine you have, the VIN has an engine code.
or look here.
or google all engines for SX4 and look there, and see what it is.

belts at 60k miles
chains when they make noise, if changd oil every 5k, the chain can go
200k or way more.
filthy oil kills chains and the whole engine for that matter.

I have a 2007 suzuki sx4 and recently had a oil the check engine light is on and I can't set the cruise control either

We have had similar problems with 2007 SX4 for 18 months - engine light on intermittently, sometimes days, sometimes weeks, cruise control disabled when light is on. Suzuki dealer has replaced O2 sensors twice, suggested catalytic converter needs replacement ($1200) but was not certain of cause or remedy. Finally dealer has removed fuel tank and fuel pump to reveal dirty fuel filter. Dealer states dirty fuel as cause which is not their problem as they cannot control fuel quality. Dealer wants $1200 to replace pump but no guarantee it won't occur again with first new tank of fuel! Could make for very expensive driving.
