If it leaks when it is raining then the windscreen seal is faulty. Depending how bad the leak is it maybe fixed by applying sealant around the windscreen where it leak occurs otherwise the windscreen needs to be removed and resealed.
If the water leak is from the heater then it could be the heating coil or a leaking heater pipe. You need to trace the source of the leak and fix or get a motor mechanic to fix this leak.

Hi, A car leaking oil will never result in the engine not starting, unless the engine has already seized. Before any corrective action can be taken, you need to determine where the oil leak is originating from. Depending upon several factors, this could be easy or it could be hard. One suggestion, do not use any of those quick fix oil additives to "fix your leak." The projected cost to fix your leak, will depend upon where your leak is. Good Luck!

How to fix a coolant on a car

How to Fix an Engine Coolant Leak Your car's coolant system consists of various components. The water pump, shaft seal, radiator, heater cores, freeze plugs, hoses and the engine itself are areas where leaks can occur. The solution for fixing a leak depends on where it's located. Read on to learn how to fix an engine coolant leak. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderately Challenging Instructions
  1. 1

Locate the leak. This can be difficult, so take your time. Some leaks, such as those in the freezer plugs, are behind the engine mount or other components. You may need to inspect the car from underneath to detect this type of leak.

  2. 2

Buy an anti-leak product and add it to the coolant to fix small radiator leaks. You can find this product at any auto shop for around $10. It's effective in 80 percent of minor leaks.

  3. 3

Patch a small radiator leak by soldering or using a high-temperature epoxy. This is another solution to fix a small leak. Other options are to have it fixed at a specialty shop or simply to replace it. If the heater core is leaking, replacement is the best choice.

  4. 4

Fix any cracked, busted or leaking hoses by replacing them. Simply remove both clips on the hose, pull off the hose and replace it with the new one. Make sure to put the clips back on.

  5. 5

Remove a cracked reservoir, clean it and dry it up. Apply plumber's goop, which is a type of glue, and reinstall it. If replacement is necessary, ensure that you route the hoses correctly from the radiator to the reservoir. Additionally, it's important that they are free of kinks so the coolant can flow freely.

Transmission fluid, power steering fluid leak cause burnt smell?

The smell you are probably smelling is the fluids that are leaking hitting something hot like the exaust. Unless the leaks are so severe that it takes constant refilling then you should be ok. But be aware that when yu have leaking parts that you must regularly check those fluid levels. Them leaking wont cause major damage, but you not keeping the fluid levels up will. I had a tranny leask in my van for a 1 1/2 and thought it was a expensive fix, but I ended up fixing my leak for about 6 bucks. My point is, check your fluids once a day if not more depending on the severity of the leak.

I have a 89 bronco with efi that high edle when warm how do i fix this problem

Either your idle air control motor is sticking open OR you have a vacuum leak somewhere on the engine. First try removing the idle air control motor and cleaning it with aerosol carburetor cleaner. Reinstall it using a new gasket. See if that fixes it. It may fix it or the fix may only last a few days or a week. If the fix lasts a short time, you need a new control motor ($100) If a new idle control motor does not fix it, then you have to search for a vacuum leak (leaking rubber hose, leaking fuel pressure regulator, leaking power brake booster, etc) Charlie
