I believe you need a new distributer. It may be a distributor (and often is), as the sensor is built into it, but first, just have a look at your caps, rotor, connections etc on and to the distributor as well as the timing. If it is the distributor, you could do it yourself! It's not hard, make sure you install it the correct way and connect the spark plug wires in the proper firing order.  Good luck and hope this helps.

More likely ignition misfire for that code. Best to replace plugs and wires, Then disconnect battery for a few minutes to clear the code. Should be OK for another 10 years.

I have a 98 chevy lumina with 61k miles.what can I do about these codes, P0300. P1381

P0300 is a random or multiple cylinder misfire, and P1381 is a misfire EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module) or PCM (Powertrain Control Module) Since you mentioned replacing fuel components, it could be as simple as a fuel injector being clogged up causing a cylinder misfire. Have you checked your fuel injectors?

My 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse wont pass emissions because trouble code P1390. I dont know what this means? Ive researched it everyway I know? My check engine light wont come on at all? Help anyone? Thanks!

This is the direct definition of this code
Mitsubishi DTC P1390 - Timing Belt Skipped 1 Tooth or More.
Probable Causes,
-Timing belt improperly installed
-Camshaft position sensor improperly installed
-Camshaft position sensor connector improperly connected
-Crankshaft position sensor connector improperly connected
-Camshaft's relative position not relearned after one of the following have been serviced: Camshaft, Camshaft sprocket, timing belt tension-er, cylinder head, head gasket, crankshaft sprocket, crankshaft cylinder block or the PCM.

Sounds like something to do with the timing belt it self. You can go to any Autozone or Checker and ask for a code reader (they will let you use it for free) and it will show this code again. You can also reset the cars computer with the code reader to see if it comes back with the same code.
