The speedomoter may be the cable in the back of it,and if i were you i wpould take the car to autozone when the check engine light is on, have them run a free diagnostic check engine test, and tell you what the problem is so you know what to fix

I have a 91 Accord. The speedometer started going wild, 30 mph. 75 mph and I was at a stop finally quit working and the S light came on. I finally changed the speedo sensor and the S light went off...Check engine light was also on, read on a forum that the speedo sensor does more than control your speedometer, maybe that your trans is not getting the info it needs to shift.....

I have a 95 accord and D4 starts blinking and speedometer gozz crazy ya'll know y???

I had the same problem with my 95 accord, your vehicle speed sensor is going bad, the part new is like 100 bucks, you could possibly find one at a junkyard, I had to buy one new, the sensor itself will sit on the passenger side, under the intake hose, its a pain to get to if you have large hands. But it is something that you definitely need replaced

Accord 91 speedometer goes to zero while driving nd sport sign S comes on randomly.. so please help and advice what the problem could be. Thank you

Most of the time this problem is fixed by replacing the transmission control module (tcm). Sometimes you need a vehicle speed sensor too, but that is not as likely.

My 91 Honda Accord's speedometer stop working if,

sounds like a possible bad ground wire, you will need to find out where these 3 items ground and see if they have a ground point in common.

94 accord, the speedometer doesn't work.........

I had a similar problem a few months ago. I changed the speedometer sensor as well as the instrument cluster with no result. Finally I decided to take out my ECU. As soon as I took it apart, I noticed a burnt node. Replaced the ECU and the speedo worked fine. You might try this if tinkering with your cluster doesn't work.

91 speedometer and miles

I have a 91 Accord. When I purchased it, the speedometer did not work. I replaced the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) and the speedometer started working again. I paid $24 for the sensor on ebay. The local part stores wanted $150. It's an easy fix. It takes about 20 minutes to replace.

Flashing green s on the dash

A green flashing "S" is similar to a check engine light. It is telling you that something in or on your transmission is not functioning correctly, such as the speed sensor or shift control solenoids. If it starts flashing and the speedometer stops working or the transmission shifts weird, take it to a mechanic.
