2001 isuzu rodeo v6 rough starting

Only after it sits 12+ hrs. Starts,stalls,runs rough. After about 30 sec. it runs fine.
I replaced fuel filter,plugs and wires.No improvement.

Also, check the EGR valve. These are notorious for getting carbon build up inside the valve itself. You can clean it if it is not too far gone. Use some carb cleaner and a small wire brush. If that doesn't work, try replacing the valve all together. That solved my problem on my 2001 Rodeo.

sounds like you have water in the fuel, put in a some dry gas and let it sit over night then drive it the next day to see if it improves

Get yourself a can of starting fluid spray, and spray NO MORE than a two second burst into the air intake after removing the filter. Then crank it. If it fires (very briefly), your problem is low or no fuel delivery to the engine.

Check the fuel pressure it could be the fuel pump or pressure regulator.

I have a 2001 isuzu Rodeo 3.2L engine that will start and run rough. It will only do this when first starting with the engine cold and in the summer, It starts just fine in the winter. I have a flashing...


the flashing service light is cat protection mode. check cat convertor and exhaust for blockages.
check vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator not leaking petrol into intake manifold by disconnecting while running.

Changed thermostat. now have air in fuel , how do u bleed fuel sy


the air bleeds itself out .sounds like fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump .thats what keeps the fuel from draining back to the tank when sitting
