Question about 1999 Peugeot 406

1 Answer

Please can you tell me how to remove the interior, windscreen mirror from my 406.

The mirror ( auto dimmer type ) has to be replaced but I am dubious about attempting to remove the existing one without experienced advice.

The mirror slides up but you will need to apply much pressure or even knock it with hand 2 or 3 times :)

Bumped the interior rear view mirror and the mirror section has detached from the base which is still stuck to the windscreen. It does not seem to easily reattach to the base.

There should be a small allen screw on the "windscreen" clip. Back it out, attach mirror and then tighten it back up.

Good Luck

Knocked rear view mirrow off

if you are talking the rear view mirror on the windscreen then use Loctite 406 or 401 super glue to refit it. care with the glue as it will stick skin together real quick. have a bottle of nail polish remover or acetone on hand in case of accident.
