You have to take off the door handle. You have to disengage the door
locking mechanism from the door handle, then unscrew the panel and take
The door handle unhinges from the locks and from the window controls.
If your windows are electric, just unsnap the cord attached and leave it hanging out.
You may have to work with the door handle as it won't come out of the slot very easily and you don't have a lot of room. A flat bladed screwdriver with a long metal piece should work to unsnap it.
Hope helps (remember rated this help).

You have a failing valve body. You need to replace it with one that has the Sonnax upgrades in it. The quicker you replace it the better before you begin to loosen the input shaft nut and have to do that repair as well.
Also you must change the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles (30,000 suggested by Saturn) to ensure that no gunk or build up is in the valve body, which is the original cause of your slipping and failing valve body.
The valve body can be replaced with the transmission in the car. It is a 45 minute to an hour job and can be done for $200 with simple hand tools.
