F 350 radio and dash quit working sometimes - Cars & Trucks

Not having any information on how it was installed, make or model of radio, I can't be of much help. You need to provide more information on what you've done so far.

they should be under the dash but sometimes it can be a different name or more then one thing is run by same fuse escpecially on a newer vehicle

If u installed a new radio that's your problem. The back of the radio harness that connects to the vehicles wire harness, look for the two orange wires, one is orange with a white stripe. They should read dimmer in small font on the wire. Simply connect the wires completing the circuit.

verify that your Ignition Switch is good.

The MOST LIKELY cause of your problem is a bad blower motor. The next time it quits, look up under the right side of your dash and "thump" on the motor housing with your hand, if it starts blowing again when you do this, replace the blower motor.

NOTE: It would be easiest to go ahead and remove the lower trim panel from under the dash (even if the blower is working at the time) so access to the blower motor housing will be easy when it quits again.

try going under the hood in the main fuse and control box.

Sorry Peter I do not have a solution to your car problem, but I also own a 2004 XG-350 and the SAME EXACT thing is happening to my car right now, crazy huh. Pretty much started out of nowhere...the boyfriend is going to go try the leaving keys in ON position and reconnecting the battery. Did you happen to find out what was wrong with yours, thought maybe if you did it would help save me a step. Praying nothing to serious. Hope you got your car working well again!

There is a brake light switch that ,disconnects the cruise control,when braking,this maybe the problem,even if the brake lights work fine,the switch still could cause this problem,replace the brake light switch.

dont quote me on this because i have never a this model truck here in spain ,but if i am not mistaken their is electronic panel behind the dash in the radio area and this panel controls the heater controls and radio security ,think this might be your problem enquire at dealer

its problem  is most likely the jem module located under the dash on pass side of the truck these can be expensive so be prepared  its been problem with ford diesels for  number of years
