This is the Electric Power Steering light , would be indicating a problem , does the steering feel heavy ?if not have the OBD codes read and any stored code cleared ,this may resolve the light staying on , if the steering feels ok it might have set the light off after going over a large bump for example, if the light comes back on then take to a repair shop as you dont want the steering to fail when driving

I have a 2006 jetta 2.5 automatic. the airbag warning light comes on although there seems to be no problem. A lamp light stays on even though i have no headlight or turn/backup/break light/trunsignal...

My jetta 2.5 2006 had a defective wire harness in the driver's door with cracked insulation causing intermittent short-circuits bringing battery discharge and no start-up in the morning.
I suspect all the cars that had their wiring made with the same roll of wire will experiment similar problems.

Air bag light stays on jetta 2006 / possible blown fuse but which one or uplugged loom underseat bad connection or replacement/ reset using vagcom. Anyone help ?

Common problem is the bad connection underseat. You will need to disconnect the batterie and then disconnect the underseat connection, spray with connection cleaner and than reconnect. But you will still need to reset error with Vag com or some other computer device because the error will stay in ecu memory.

2006 Jetta has interior floor lights that stay on even after locking the car, and the alarm does not beep when locking the door. What can I do to get these lights to turn off so the battery does not die?

the "puddle lights" should go out about the same time as the interior lights, after removing the key from the ignition,if not try an alarm/immobiliser system reset as per the book.
