No...The cam sensor reports to the ECU and if it reads an out of range or resistance too low or high, then the ECU defaults a value and vehicles enters Limp Mode and ECU turns on the CHECK ENGINE lamp.

For ABS, there is a wheel speed sensor on each wheel. You will need to have your auto parts store plug in to your OBD II port to determibe which wheel needs attention. These sensors use a magnetic device, so often times you can use pressurized air to blow debris off of them that is casing the malfunction. You'll need to remove each wheel to get to these. Find the electrical wire (not the fluid hose) and follow it to the sensor at point near the wheel. Use a partial mask to protect your lungs, brake dust can be toxic.

For your speedometer, the sensor is in the transmission. If your car has enough miles on it for this sensor to be worn out, a subscription to alldatadiy.com is well worth the investment and will give you the exact location and replacement procedure.

I have a 96 Suburban 7.4. I was driving a month ago and stopped at the light. When I pushed the gas it lunged and quit. I have changed the timing chain and gears, Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Cam Sensor,...

Have you tried boosting fuel supply by spraying carb cleaner into the intake ?
Is it possible the cam is not in time with the crank ? Or the distributor is off a few teeth ? Does it make any difference if you turn the distributor ?

Check to see if you have a MAF sesnor on the air intake. If yes, clean the exposed MAF sensor wires (inside) with spray carb cleaner. Do not touch the heated wires though, just spray several times. It will fix a lean running condition.

WE HAVE A 2002 DODGE 2500 DIESEL AND IT LUNGES AT LOW SPEEDS. IT THROWS NO CODES WHAT IS IT

My 2001 was doing this...would also cut out randomly mid-acceleration and return to idle. Very fun when trying to get up to freeway speed! Turned out to be an accelerator pedal position sensor. Also threw no codes! Was approx a $500 (part+labor) about 4 years ago.

Check your TPS sensor. It controls your idle speed. Sounds to be like its stuck open. Good luck.

What is a cam crank sensor on 2004 Audi A4

The "cam crank" sensor is the "reader" for position and speed of the camshaft. This sensor send informations to Engine Control Unit about camshaft position and speed. If the sensor is faulty engine stops!
