The first place I would look is the shift linkage for wear and a sloppy connection from wear.
adjustments may be made as a possible fix on the linkage rod.

Check if your injectors with the electrical meter with ohmmeter you should have around 12 ohms on each if you have above 15 ohms that's mean your injector is going bad it has problems ,easier way to check its if you will start the car with cold engine and go by the mufflers and if you will hear from one of the mufflers kinda shoots that's mean on this side of engine is the injector going bad ,the other things it might be mass air flow ground (-) wire which has some bad connection ,if not check all the connections on the ignition coils and injectors,check your spark plugs, and on the end if this problem will continue check your knock sensor!

Hi, the ECU (engine control unit) is located under the passangers side foot panel (if your sitting on the passanger's side, where the tips of your feet hit). Remove the floormat and there should be an area of the carpet that is partially detachable, being held by velcro. Under the carpet there should be a wooden board which you can take off by removing 4~5 10mm bolts. Once you remove that the ECu will be the brass colored metal box with all the wires pluged into. There are 3 10mm bolts to remove the ECU. Hope that helps. :)

yes, thats the typical symptom of a IAC valve giving you trouble, try cleaning it up but ull probabbly will have to replace it

I have a 1990 nissan 300zx and the tranny was replaced, but when they put it back together the shifter slides up and down freely in 1st and 2nd and it seems to lose its place when finding a gear, but once you have it in gear, it stays there, this includes reverse and drive. Weird, what was placed wrong.
