Where do find the location of orifice tube on 2004 gmc envoy?

Its inside the connection where the suction hose connects to the evaporator. You must release all the freon out before you open the hose or you'll get a face full of compressor oil.

There is a solenoid that opens the freon flow into the back evaporator. It isn't working correctly.

I love my 2004 gmc envoy. It has been a good car except for the ac system. The ac does not blow cold air at all. It blows warm air but not cold. It also almost has no pressure. Lastly level 5 on the ac...

I would check the freon in the system. Their are kits avail. at parts shops such as Advance etc. Follow the directions and "viola" things will be cool.

Air conditioning does not get cold any longer - it is still cool. Can freon be added (if this is the issue) or is this a/c past the freon adding era for repairs? Thanks, Jim

No it just needs a top up all R134 systems lose gas after a few years from new ,i would empty system then vacumn and then put a additive in for leaks then add the gas and it should be ok for a few more years to come

LOw on freon can cause this scenario but there is also a temp door actuator that can cause in the rear case.A good repair shop can hook up a scanner and check to see if there are any trouble code's for the a/c. Good luck
