SOURCE: 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee In'line 6 cyl.....Erratic guages... check guages light goes on, guages go off for 10 seconds, then back on. Speedometer jumps. Idiot lights sometimes come on for a few second
This will be challenging to find ... If headlights dim or flicker too ... check battery terminals first. But I think it will be a large harness with quite a few wires on it ... Check ... for loose bulkhead connectors at the firewall ... and between the Engine and the body/firewall .... at the ECU .... you may also check for loose harness connectors at the fuse box. check for loose or corroded fuses ... especially if a cover is missing.
If I remember correctly this truck has 3 fuse panels in it. Check the manual

Still sounds like a bad output speed sensor - check scan the TCM for codes and see what you get. Also check the wiring at and near the output speed sensor connector.
